We highly recommend checking out the program list each year and plan your trip during these dates. The event is six-weeks long giving you ample time to see at least some of the musicians perform. Each week of the festival, the musicians focus on a particular genre like Bluegrass, Gypsy Jazz, Classical, and Opera and they perform in anything from barns, private mountain homes, churches, outdoor stages, and concern halls. Lodging can be tricky this time of year, so planning in advance is always wise.

Whether you prefer to stay in town or on the mountain, you’ll choose from an inclusive resort, historic bed & breakfast, inns, hotels, motels, condos, RV parks for motor homes, rustic lodges or vacation homes, or camp out at one of the many locations near by. Additional lodging options are available in the nearby town of Gunnison, just 27 miles from Crested Butte.

Getting Here

Non-stop service on major carriers is available from many major airports direct to the Gunnison International Airport. A 30-minute scenic shuttle ride delivers you to the heart of town. The community’s free shuttle service makes a rental car unnecessary. Drive distance from Denver is 4.5 hours and the distance is 228 miles.
