See animals in the wild and learn to love catch-and-release fly fishing. The Tahoe Rim Trail runs along the crest of the Carson Range and is a favorite among the locals.

Not only are there excellent boating opportunities for people who already own their own boats, but there are also plenty of opportunities for people to rent boats or join cruises so that they can enjoy the lake even if they do not own their own equipment. For example, one spectacular cruise will take you to Vikings Holm in the spectacular Emerald Bay, or you could tour the incredible Thunderbird Lodge. There are also a number of stunning and beautiful yachts to charter privately for special events by groups, including weddings and wedding receptions, corporate meetings, family reunions, and a variety of other events that require the highest quality of boating equipment.

There are also parasailing excursions allowing you to soar across the sky more than hundreds of feet in the air. Just keep in mind that parasailing is not for the faint of heart. You may also want to try hot air ballooning, piloting jet skis, wave runners, water skis, and a variety of other great activities. All of these activities are both fun and exhilarating and you can easily find rental equipment if you do not own your own.
